A lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, Steve Groves has become a thriving artist, both as a musician and a photographer.

Steve runs his own business, Steve Groves MediaWorks, and is a member of the Pittsburgh Creators’ Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting local artists and creators.

Combining his love for art, music, and photography, Steve has been hired to work for the Aris Paul Band, Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras (TRYPO), the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Heavy Chest, James Houlik, Mike Tomaro, The Frick Pittsburgh, Laurel Highlands High School, and Red Caiman Media, to name a few.

Currently, Steve’s day job is Director of Music Engagement, Events, and Marketing at the Mary Pappert School of Music (Duquesne University), where he is responsible for coordinating over 200 annual concerts and recitals.

When Steve is not at work at his day job or as a photographer, he can be found playing trumpet and singing in one of Pittsburgh's favorite local party bands, Uptown Rhythm & Brass (uptown-rb.com).

Steve lives just outside of Pittsburgh with his wife, Melanie, and two children, Evan and Madison.
