A lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, Steve Groves has become a thriving artist, both as a musician and a photographer.
Combining his love for music and photography, many of Steve's photography clients are musicians, themselves. Steve has been hired to work for the Aris Paul Band, Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras (TRYPO), the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Heavy Chest, James Houlik, and Mike Tomaro, to name a few.
Currently, Steve’s day job is Manager of Music Events at the Mary Pappert School of Music (Duquesne University), where he is responsible for booking, marketing, and running the over 200 annual concerts and recitals presented there.
When Steve is not at work at his day job or as a photographer, he can be found playing trumpet and singing in one of Pittsburgh's favorite local party bands, Uptown Rhythm & Brass (uptown-rb.com).
Steve lives just outside of Pittsburgh with his wife, Melanie, and his son, Evan.
